The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force was established on October 24, 1962. Currently, the ITBP is responsible for securing the 3,488 km India-China border, stretching from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. In addition to border security, the Force plays a crucial role in internal security tasks and operations against Left-Wing Extremism in Chhattisgarh.
